Welcome to Skyridge Montessori!
Skyridge Montessori offers a truly unique and comprehensive Montessori education experience for children in kindergarten through to grade 9 in the heart of the Sea to Sky Corridor, in beautiful Squamish, British Columbia.
For more than a century now, the child-focused approach that Dr. Maria Montessori, an Italian physician, developed for educating children has been transforming schools around the globe.
When you enter our classrooms, you will see children working independently and in groups, often with specially designed learning materials; deeply engaged in their work; and respectful of themselves and their surroundings.
Skyridge Montessori fosters rigorous, self-motivated growth for children and adolescents in all areas of their development—cognitive, emotional, social, and physical.
CASA (PRESCHOOL)
The Casa Program, for children ages 3 – 6, encourages self-directed learning that promotes self-confidence, independent thought and action, and critical thinking, while fostering social-emotional and intellectual growth.
ELEMENTARY
What sets Montessori apart in the Elementary years—ages 6 – 12—is the individually paced curriculum that challenges children academically and encourages them to question, think critically, and take responsibility for their own learning.
ADOLESCENT
Montessori adolescent programs —ages 12 to 15— integrate rigorous academic studies with purposeful work, preparing youth to become contributing citizens who are confident and possess skills needed to thrive in society.
The Skyridge Montessori Accessibility Plan
At Skyridge Montessori, we are committed to providing a learning and working environment that supports all students and staff and provides equitable opportunities to support our diverse community. A key element to supporting our community is the development of a Three-Year Accessibility Plan. This plan identifies system needs, priorities, and action plans, and draws on feedback from our school community and the work of the Accessibility Committee to enhance equity of access to programming and our facilities.
