Re-enrolment
Current Skyridge Montessori students will be re-enrolled for the upcoming school year in January, provided that re-enrolment documents are returned by the deadline. For further information on the re-enrolment process, please contact admin@skyridgemontessori.ca.
PRIORITY & WAITING POOL
Priority of admission will go to our returning students first, siblings of current students, and then our wait pool.
Montessori is a continuum program with materials and lessons building from what the child experienced in previous school years. Self-management and self-direction continue to be nurtured and promoted in the Casa, Elementary and Adolescent environment. It is for these reasons that children who are entering our school ideally have previous Montessori experience.
We strongly promote staying with the program for the duration of the three-year cycles.
After re-enrollments are received, admissions are offered to applicants who have completed at least one full year of Montessori. A limited number of spaces may be available for entry into our program for children who do not have previous Montessori experience. Each new student that is accepted to our school must have an orientation session with the classroom teacher to assess their suitability.
New Casa Students: Families committed to continuing with Skyridge Montessori through the elementary years and beyond will have priority.
Skyridge Montessori reserves the right to cap our waiting pool.
POLICIES
Withdraw Policy
A child enrolled at Skyridge Montessori is expected to attend through to the end of the school year and parents should fully understand the annual financial obligation.
Monthly/Yearly Payment Plan: At least three month’s written withdrawal notice must be given to the school with notice provided the first day of the month. Notice provided after the first day of the month will be considered effective as of the first day of the next month.
Dismissal Policy
Skyridge Montessori reserves the right to terminate enrolment at any time if the student’s teacher(s) and the Head of School determine that the student is unable to thrive in our Montessori environment, if the student’s behaviours represents a danger to other students, or if the tuition fees are not received. If Skyridge Montessori terminates enrolment under these circumstances, tuition fees will be prorated and refunded accordingly.
Waiting Pool Policy
Parents are welcome to place their child on our wait pool. Parents must complete and submit an application form found under Apply Now. Should space become available after February, you will be notified by phone and/or email to have the opportunity to further explore admission to our school. Skyridge Montessori reserves the right to cap our waiting pool.
Re-enrolment Policy
Re-enrolment packages will be distributed to current families during the month of January. These packages are to be filled out by all families who wish to return the following September. Re-enrolment forms are due at the end of January, complete with a non-refundable deposit that will be put towards the last month’s tuition fees. Re-enrolment forms received after the due date will be considered along with new admissions.
